Tottenham’s under 19’s looked truly impressive in the first half of their NextGen series match against Wolfsburg yesterday. Unfortunately, the lads couldn’t hang on to their lead and the Germans forced an injury time equaliser to level the game at 2-2.

Spurs had gone into a two goal lead at the break thanks to a double strike from Alex Pritchard. Both goals had a touch of real class about them as Pritchard first found the net from a free kick before curling an effort into the top corner.

2-0 at half time should have been comfortable but Tottenham will rue missed chances that could have killed the game. Ultimately, Wolfsburg pulled a goal back 12 minutes from time before snatching that late, late equaliser.

Spurs are now second in Group one, level on points with Wolfsburg but with a game in hand. Next up in this intriguing competition is a trip to Anderlecht next Wednesday the 31st of October.
