Spurs are a top priced 1.22 with William Hill to beat Coventry in their FA Cup tie at White Hart Lane and everything suggests they are absolute bankers to do just that.
It’s 26 years since these sides produced a classic FA Cup final when Gary Mabbutt’s own goal earned the Sky Blues a dramatic extra-time win.
Since then Spurs have won both of the other FA Cup ties between these sides, winning 3-1 in 1981 and 2-0 in 2002, and the fortune of both sides has changed dramatically.
The Lilywhites are currently flying under Andre Villas-Boas and look set to challenge for a top-four spot in the Premier League, while in stark contrast Coventry sit 11th in League Two.
The visitors have won their last six on the road, but the gulf in class between them and the top flight was highlighted earlier in the season when they got hammered 6-1 at Arsenal in the Capital One Cup.
They will do well to score in this, and I think that Spurs are a solid bet to win to nil at tasty 1.91 with Ladbrokes to win to nil.
Jermain Defoe has scored five times in his last six starts in the FA Cup and makes plenty of appeal at 4.33 with Coral to net the opener and fire Spurs to wide margin success.
I fancy them to win 5-0 or 6-0 and those scorelines can be backed at 17 and 41 respectively with William Hill.
Over 3.5 goals also looks a decent punt at 2.3 with Coral, while over 4.5 also looks well worth considering at 4 with Ladbrokes and William Hill.
