One of the names consistently linked with a move to Spurs over the last few days has been that of 20 year old Danish striker Andreas Cornelius. In his first full season as a professional, the forward has netted 16 times in 25 games for FC Copenhagen and this has been enough for his agent to declare that his client is hot property around Europe.

“Cornelius is a hot name in England,” said Jonathan Walker.

“I know that some Premier League clubs are considering an offer for him.”

Cornelius also scored his first international goal against the Czech Republic last Friday and it’s claimed that Spurs were one of the clubs who sent scouts to watch the game.

As a fourth striker, Cornelius could offer an excellent option but he’s unlikely to be content with such a fringe role. Alternatively, he could be brought in as the first deputy to a first choice front two but does his record suggest that he’s ready for that level of responsibility in the Premier League?
