Emmanuel Adebayor may be splitting opinion between Spurs supporters right now but he’s certainly no favourite with the Manchester City fans and the striker has stirred up even more controversy ahead of Sunday’s game at White Hart Lane.

With Jermain Defoe nearing fitness, Ade may not even make the starting XI but he’s sure of the tactics that his current side will need if they are to secure three points. The Togolese feels that in-fighting amongst the players could mean that City collapse if they’re put under pressure.

“If we put them under pressure then we have a chance to win, for sure,” Adebayor is quoted in the Sun.

“I was there and I can tell you whenever things are not going their way there will definitely be a fight or an argument on the pitch and that is how we can take them down.”

Ade’s claims of in-fighting on the pitch might be extreme but there may be some truth in the suggestion that City can feel the pressure. Last month, Everton took the lead over Roberto Mancini’s side just after the half hour mark and David Moyes’ side were worthy 2-0 winners at the end of the match.

Everton proved that City can be beaten and an early goal from us might well have the negative effect on his old team that Ade has been claiming.

  1. Let’s look at three things here:
    1. “If we put them under pressure then we have a chance to win, for sure,” – Really. So that’s how football works. He should be a manager!
    2. “I was there and I can tell you whenever things are not going their way there will definitely be a fight or an argument on the pitch and that is how we can take them down.” – Yep, usually involving him, or as a result of his lazy arse efforts! How long is it since he left? We won trophies after we shipped him, that’s how easily we turn in on ourselves
    3. You guys really should have learned to ignore anything ‘Ade’ says. You’ve got some really good players and a team that can beat City on its day. So yep, Spurs ‘could’ win on Sunday…concentrate on that and not this waster 😉
Ps: Dzeko & Nasri will be back in the team. Remember the 1-5?

    • Yep but that was early season and we were still unsettled after the modric saga. It will be much closer this time. Like the two games since then

  2. Coming from this lazy good for nothing I find hard to take the bloke is a disgrace to the club as soon as he moves on the better nothing but a lazy pile of crap who dont give a shit about any think
