Spurs have confirmed a loan deal taking Lewis Holtby to Craven Cottage for the remainder of the season. It’s the first deal of deadline day but will we see any more activity before 11pm tonight?

It was widely expected that the player would go and the German international should certainly get more game time at Fulham in the build up to the 2014 world cup. However, the big question is whether Spurs intend for Lewis to come back stronger or if this is a prelude to a permanent transfer?

  1. I think this loan deal is not the best or worse at present, but as long as it’s only a loan until the end of the season as the player has a great deal if qualities that just has not been used to their full potential’s.
I hope when he return’s the club will use his abilities to resurface the skill that we all know he has.
And please do not bring in anyone (if they are thinking about it) other than a central defender or left-sided one.

  2. We thought we won the Holtby sweeps last year around this time, and then it was revealed Arsenal were never even in for him. Now we know why. Lewis is just not strong enough for the top of the league. I still like him, but I don’t think he will have a place at Tottenham in the future. Especially now that we have put all our eggs in Christian’s basket.
