Tim Sherwood and his Spurs side have travelled to the Ukraine with several first choice players staying at home but the head coach has defended his team selection. Sherwood may be aiming at a top four finish as a priority but insists that his motives for the Europa League are deadly serious.

“This is the only cup competition we are left in and we are taking it seriously,” Tim is quoted as saying.

“We should still have eight full internationals in our side tomorrow.

“We have a big squad and should hopefully cope.”

Time will tell if the squad can cope with this tie but a poor result at Norwich on Sunday may leave some supporters to hope that the club will ultimately surrender in this competition.

  1. Too much ‘Arry style. I hope for a result that will give us chances to make it clear next week at WHL. European Silver Ware must be the goal !
