Transfer rumours continue to come in despite the uncertainty over the Spurs manager’s job together with the fact that there are several weeks left before the transfer window opens. However, the link with Red Bull Salzburg winger Sadio Mane is an interesting one and it’s worth taking a closer look at his credentials.

Born in Senegal, Mane is just 21 but has already earned 15 senior caps for his country, scoring on four occasions. He started his professional career in France with Metz but his move to Austria really seems to have kick started a promising career.

He can play on either flank and his scoring record from the wings is an impressive one – 25 in 45 league games including 17 in 35 appearances this season. It’s hard to compare the standard of Austrian football to that of the Premiership but the report goes on to claim that Tottenham scouts have watched Mane on two occasions ahead of a potential summer bid in the region of £10m.

  1. THE NUMBER ONE FAILING OF SPURS IS THEIR FAILURE TO SCORE IN MANY GAMES WHERE THEY HAD MOST OF THE POSSESION.LENNON,TOWNSEND,DEMBELE AND SOLDADO COULDNT GET 10 GOALS BETWEEN THEM.ONE WOULD BE HARD PRESSED TO MENTION ONE AUSTRIAN TEAM BY NAME.THIS MEANS THEIR MINOR LEAGUE.FOR A PLAYER WITH SOME TALENT TO DO WELL IS NOT DIFFICULT.

    • Soldado may well notch up 10 goals this season before it ends!! Hes not too far off it now!!! Think hes scored eight Agree lennon, dembelee n townsend need to add this to their game. Dembelee is a good player lennon n toensend should be sold. Support soldado and be a TRUE spurs fan snd stand by your team!! Or go support man u!!! Robbie keane, defoe and adebayor all had a season where they scored around ten goals only!! And keane finished top premier league scorer the following season….. coys
