The last 24 hours have seen some pretty bizarre transfer stories involving Spurs. A mooted swap deal between Hugo Lloris and Joe Hart stole the headlines but that wasn’t the only unlikely rumour doing the rounds.
With Louis van Gaal widely tipped to become the next Manchester United manager, the media were focussing on David Moyes and Mauricio Pochettino as the main contenders for the Tottenham job. As the current Southampton boss, Pochettino was supposedly bringing a number of his players across to White Hart Lane including Adam Lallana and Jay Rodriguez – practically the only man we couldn’t find reference to is Luke Shaw.
From those links, the Lloris – Hart swap is perhaps the most plausible: It’s certainly easy to believe that Manchester City would want a keeper of Hugo’s quality after a difficult campaign between the posts but would England’s current stopper want to come the other way when there are suggestions of a move abroad?
If you rule those three out that may leave us with the story linking Ajax winger Viktor Fischer to the club. Despite the name, Fischer is a Dane who has been with the Amsterdam club for his entire professional career and at 19, he has a respectable scoring record of 19 from 67 games.
Given the success of our previous Danish signing to cross from Ajax, we’d quite like to see this come to fruition. We’re not too sure about the others however.
I think Dan might do a swap deal as long as Citeh cough up about £20mill as well. Why not keep Sherwood hes doing alright, plus the apoplexy caused to so called Spurs “fans” would be hugely enjoyable.COYS
Load of bollocks…..
I’m always suspicious with strikers from the Eredivisie. For every Suarez there’s a Kezman, Valves or Kuyyt.
