Comments from Mexican national coach Miguel Herrera have stirred up a fresh batch of rumours linking Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez with a summer move to White Hart Lane. The centre forward alluded to being tired of his supersub role at Old Trafford and with no likelihood of an increase in game time under Louis Van Gaal, the country’s coach has urged him to look elsewhere.

Hernandez may be destined to feature at Brazil 2014 but Herrera states that he needs more game time if he is to keep his place in the Mexican squad.

In the case of ‘Chicharito’, I believe it’d be in his interest to leave so he is taken into consideration to play,” he said.

The availability of Hernandez is bound to attract plenty of clubs and it’s unclear why Spurs seem to be at the top of every transfer rumour. The 25 year old has a creditable record with United and with two years left on his contract, may well demand the type of fee that takes us out of the equation.
