In a slow international week, the transfer rumours will start doing the rounds again and with Spurs struggling up top, certainly as far as league form is concerned, there are a number of links with centre forwards from across Europe.
We saw Klaas-Jan Huntelaar’s name appear prior to the weekend and stories concerning the Dutch international continue to circulate while a new name is sharing some column inches. Wissam Ben Yedder is a 24 year old stiker who currently plays for Toulouse and has been capped at Under 21 level for France.
His record in Ligue 1 shows 34 goals in 87 games and that includes six since the start of the latest campaign. However, with his deal due to expire in 2016, the Mirror reports that a fee in the region of £5m could be enough to lure the player to White Hart Lane.
The story goes on to claim that Spurs scouts have been watching Ben Yedder in recent weeks with Mauricio Pochettino of the alleged view that his strike force needs a winter overhaul.
