Tottenham ran out 2-1 winners at Loftus Road with Harry Kane at the double.
Relegation-threatened QPR were looking to take advantage of an error prone Spurs defence early on, and managed to create a few half chances. But it was the visitors who took the lead through Harry Kane’s header before the break.
Kane added to his tally with his 26th goal of the season in all competitions, getting on the end of Ryan Mason’s through-ball, rounding the goalkeeper and slotting into an empty net.
Former Spurs-man Sandro got one back for the hosts moments later, but it was Kane who stole the headlines with another talismanic performance. Here’s how Twitter reacted to his goals…
He scores when he wants, he scores when he wants, Harry Kane, he scores when he wants! #COYS

Six consecutive away PL games in which Kane has scored. Five was a record for Spurs.

*Thanks Jesus for giving us Harry Kane. And Rob Green. Mostly Rob Green, if I'm honest.*

One of Ours strikes again. @hkane28 is on the spot where it matters. One of his strengths is his positional sense in a packed penalty area.

Imagine having a player that only Ronaldo and Messi have outscored and he's a Tottenham fan from your own academy. pic.twitter.com/5gQAV2YibK

Kane 25 goals this season : last 3 Spurs players to score more in a season were Bale – Klinsmann and Lineker.

More goals in the Premier League than Alexis Sanchez now. Only Costa and Agüero stand in the way of the Golden Boot & Harry Kane.

That Kane stat is even more impressive when you realise he didn't even play in any league games til November #Machine #OneOfOurOwn

The only thing missing from Harry Kane's game is a marketable celebration.
— Rich Arrowsmith (@RichArrowsmith) March 7, 2015
Harry Kane is now 1 league goal behind Aguero and Costa despite not starting a Premier League game until November. Crazy stuff.

Harry Kane has now scored 26 goals in all competitions this season, the same amount Bale scored in his last season with Spurs. #THFC
