Normally a Europa League game in midweek sees a number of changes being made to the starting XI, but Mauricio Pochettino picked a string side for the trip to Monaco.

For that reason we don’t expect to see too many new faces for the match against Swansea. The back four should see the return of Kyle Walker and Ben Davies, but other than that we’d go for an unchanged side in the last match before the international break.

Here’s our team to face Swansea. What’s yours?

  1. This team looked average against Monaco. Kane had a shocking game. He kept giving the ball away. Eriksen and Chadi were ineffective.

It is a shame that Son and Pritchard are out, because they are by far our best creative attacking players.

  2. Given that Son is not available and Rose got a battering at Monaco I would agree with your selection. It hasn’t been a bad thing either for Chadli to feel a bit of competition (from Son) for a forward place. At times he needs to try harder and with a bit of breath on the neck – so to speak – he’s upping his game a bit. We really need Harry and Eriksen to be at the same level as last season but with Lamela finally producing the goods there is reason to be fairly optimistic. Even so I would not be shocked if today it finished 1-1 at Swansea after bascically the same team who faced Monaco will have to do it all again in Wales with just a couple of days in wich to recuperate. I hope Spurs can do it though as we could climb the table nicely with three points under our belts.
