Danny Rose will miss Tottenham’s clash with Southampton through illness, with Ben Davies replacing the left back in the starting eleven.
Mousa Dembele also returns to the lineup, partnering Eric Dier in central midfield. It look as if Dele Alli will play a more advanced role alongside Christian Eriksen and Erik Lamela.
Tom Carroll is on the bench having started against Newcastle last week. Nabil Bentaleb and Nacer Chadli are also among the substitutes.
Here’s how Twitter reacted to the team news.

Great to have Dembélé back – didn't think I'd ever say that! We'll miss Rose but Davies has been good this year.Good to see Winks in the 18.

#thfc Dembele's return is good news and Davies has been playing well recently, looking much more confident & posing a threat in final third.

Need an improvement from Vertonghen against Pelle who is probably the best header of the ball in the PL.

Can't underestimate importance of
Dembele's return to starting XI. Hoping he can pick from where he left off before he got injured.
