Tottenham cruised into the last 16 of the Europa League with a 3-0 victory against Fiorentina at White Hart Lane, winning 4-1 on aggregate.
Ryan Mason opened the scoring with his second goal of the season, finishing low past the Fiorentina goalkeeper in the first half. Erik Lamela added a cool second after the break – his sixth goal in six Europa League games.
A late own goal sealed an impressive win for the hosts. Here’s how Twitter reacted to the result and performance.
Delighted we've progressed to the last 16 & hope we can go all the way, just a shame there's 100 more odd games to the actual final.#THFC

Thank you #Spurs. That was close to perfection and a quick pick-me-up after the Palace performance.Next Swansea,Hammers and then the Nomads!

Eriksen, Alli and Lamela were excellent tonight. Quite remarkable given they didn't really have a focal point to work off in attack.

Very strong. I will be satisfied with a Premier League & Europa Cup double this season. Onward #thfc #COYS

#thfc Alli, Lamela, Mason all excellent tonight. Eriksen & Dier quietly impressive, as usual. Mason's form important with Dembele out.

Easily dismissed one of the best sides in Italy, without the player whose absence would supposedly render us impotent. We're a proper team.

That was excellent. Eriksen superb, solid defence and didn't really look threatened. Superb atmosphere at WHL too! Great night.
— Nikhil Saglani (@Nikhil_Saglani) February 25, 2016
#thfc Worth noting that that performance came without Vertonghen, Dembele and Kane – important players at the spine of the team.

Job done! Really enjoyed that. European nights at The Lane are always special, don't let anyone ever tell you different.

I haven't been that relaxed watching Spurs at White Hart Lane since Ledley's testimonial.

Toby majestic again. Man hardly ever puts a foot wrong. Makes it look too easy

Would love to see this Tottenham team have a run at Dortmund or Bilbao in the next round. They raise themselves against that sort of side.
— Raj Bains (@BainsXIII) February 25, 2016
What a team performance. Work ethic across board, pace & counter attacking, total synergy. Typified by Eriksen & Lamela's work off ball.
