Reports claim that Newcastle are ready to sell their striker Ayoze Perez.

The Magpies’ manager Rafa Benitez is said to be ready to accept a bid of £10m for Perez, as he doesn’t think that the Spanish forward is suited to the Championship.

Perez has long been linked with a move to Spurs, who are reportedly leading the race for his signature. Able to play wide, behind the striker and as a lone forward, Perez could make a decent squad player, able to add depth to the squad’s attacking positions.

That said, his return of just 13 goals in 71 games for Newcastle is sure to raise doubts, even accounting for the fact that the North East club have struggled in recent seasons before their relegation.

Would you be happy to see Perez at White Hart Lane or should the club be aiming higher? Watch him in action below and give us your verdict.

  1. Why not? the boy’s got quick feet and can leap. Scored against us (Spurs). We need a box striker to give Potch more options, he looks like he’s got a bright future.
