Mauricio Pochettino has made just one change to the Tottenham side that beat Crystal Palace at White Hart Lane last week.
Despite an impressive display against Palace, Vincent Janssen has been demoted to the bench. Dele Alli, who was ill last week, replaces Janssen in the starting eleven.
Noticeably a number of fringe players linked with moves away from the club are absent from the squad. Nacer Chadli and Ryan Mason are expected to move on, while Tom Carroll appears to be surplus to requirements.
Perhaps surprisingly, Kevin Wimmer is left out of the eighteen again. The Austrian signed a new contract earlier this summer but could still leave the club before Wednesday’s transfer deadline.
Here’s how Spurs reacted to the team news on Twitter.

#LFC team to face @SpursOfficial:

Wimmer not in squad again. Worried now that there is something in this talk of him going. Senseless if true

Strangely optimistic. Two DM's mean we'll be solid, but need to exploit Milner as a LB. Get Walker running at him at every opportunity.

No Mason/Carroll/Chadli & Wimmer on a bench which leaves a lot more questions than answers, definitely movement behind the scenes.#THFC

Son back on the bench suggests he's staying put. Good news. We need him!

We have to take advantage of Milner playing LB. Walker needs to harass him as much as possible.

Lallana and Wiljandum both start two players who speak positively about us but it's Mane, Coutinho and Firmino who scare me #THFCvLFC #COYS

People going mad about the bench…Son and Janssen are great options. Dembele, Lloris & Wimmer to come back. 1 or 2 new signings to come in

When is Dier going to show some intensity and close marking.
Hurry back Dembele to partner Wanyama
