Reports claim that Spurs will battle with Liverpool to sign the River Plate striker Lucas Alario.
Liverpool are said to have had an £8.5m bid rejected by the Argentine giants, with the player’s release clause standing at £15.2m.
That’s a pretty affordable price for a striker if Tottenham’s scouting team decide that he’s up to playing in the Premier League.
The 23-year old has scored 20 goals in 42 appearances for River and whether or not Spurs make a move, he seems destined for a transfer to Europe, with Inter Milan and Torino also said to be interested.
