Tottenham had dominated the first half of their Champions League clash with Bayer Leverkusen in Germany. But it was the hosts who came closest to scoring just after half time.

Javier Hernandez latched onto a low cross and looked certain to score for Leverkusen, which would have been harsh on an impressive Spurs side.

But Hugo Lloris somehow kept the ball out, just about managing to dive on it to prevent his team going behind.

You can watch the save here.

  1. When all is said and done this guy comes up with, time after time, reaction saves that keep us moving forward.
Personally I don’t give a **** if his distribution is poor, I don’t give a **** if he’s not in the top ten GKs in the world or for that matter in the EPL, he is an inspiration to his team and, if as a THFC supporter you cannot see that, then you should have gone to Specsavers…

  2. No ‘blushes’ losing away to Leverkusen, they are a very good team. That said, think the draw was a fair result over all.

Shock, horror – , Spurs player has good game. Why do so many folk act like Looks having a good game is an affront to the natural order? Foster has a good game against us and it’s a man of the match performance; Lloris has a good game for us and you would think we had broken international law and treaties. He’s our player; he’s paid to play well; he played well.

Also, Lamela really wasn’t that bad…some of the griping is embarrassing. No matter what he does, if he loses the ball once in a game or misplace one pass in a game they’re on his case!
