Tottenham had the majority of the chances but failed to make a breakthrough at Bournemouth, making it three draws in a row for Spurs in all competitions.
The 2-0 win against Manchester City prior to the international break was Spurs’ last victory, having since drawn against West Brom, Bayer Leverkusen and now Bournemouth.
The Cherries were impressive and deserve credit for their resilience in keeping the visitors out.
But Tottenham will be disappointed not to have picked up all three points on the day. Here’s how Twitter reacted to the performance and result.
That international break really killed any potential momentum post City result.. Kane and Alderweireld's returns can't come quick enough..

Dropped points at WBA & Bournemouth now. No cutting edge up front apparent. Kane sorely missed. Still unbeaten but scant comfort. Poor today

I never criticise Pochettino but today he got it badly wrong from start to finish. We never even looked like scoring. Must do better.

That was *bad*! There was a 10 min spell in the first half & a 20 min spell at the start of the second half that was just about acceptable.

Hats off, Bournemouth. Matched us for desire, stamina & aggression. Deserved something from the game.

I like Bournemouth's performance today but absolutely hated Tottenham's. Clumsy and toothless IMO. Thank god for Hugo, Jan & Mousa.

Tottenham so toothless in attack, never felt they were going to score today. Harry Kane can't return soon enough.

Disappointing we passed another opportunity to go top. Don't remember their keeper making any saves tbh. Bournemouth hardest team we played!
— Kenny Palmer (@KennyPalmer) October 22, 2016
Let no one ever again doubt Harry Kane's importance to this team. Even when he's off form we're so much better with him there.

Subpar performance coming off Leverkusen. Cherries defended well. Still unbeaten. Keep the faith, @HKane is training again… #COYS

Very Disappointing result we lost 4 points against 2 teams last 2 matches we should win to compete for the Tittle. In these games we should be a little more clinicle and let the ball do the work, and keep the pitch wide. #COYS #THFC
