Christian Eriksen has yet to find his best form for Spurs this season, but last night he produced a moment of magic for Denmark which might hopefully reignite his Tottenham career.

The Dane has looked short of confidence in the early months of this campaign, but will surely have received a boost after scoring twice to help his country to a 4-1 win over Kazakhstan.

Eriksen scored from the penalty spot in the 36th minute and then followed it up with a driving run from deep that saw him beat two men on the edge of the Kazakhstan area, before applying a perfect left-footed finish.

With his confidence clearly low, it’s felt like Eriksen has failed to take responsibility of late. This special goal reminds us how good he can be when he does just that and what he can offer the team.

  1. More worrying is that Dembele has picked up yet another injury…I get the feeling that, if this carries on, then maybe his career is on the wane…I sincerely hope not.
As for Eriksen a few more assists would be great but, at the moment at least, if he’s not producing he’s a luxury we can ill afford.
