The Sun have today reported that Harry Kane and Spurs are at loggerheads over a new contract.

They claim that Tottenham are refusing to break the bank to give Kane comparable pay to his fellow England strikers and that at £60,000-a-week, he’s currently earning much less than new signing Moussa Sissoko – reportedly on £95,000-a-week.

Spurs fans seem to have taken this story with a pinch of salt, despite the claim that Premier League rivals are interested in signing Kane. Here’s how they reacted on Twitter.

  1. Same crap the sun roll out every pending transfer window.
They more or less said he’s bags were packed last year.
Does anybody really think that a man as intelligent as Levy would let his Jewell in the crown be upset enough to leave his beloved Tottenham Hotspur at any price.
He has a new stadium and selling 61,000 tickets is his priority.
Selling Harry definitely is not on the agenda.

  2. harry kane is going nowhere, this is utter bullshit, kane is a spurs supporter playing for the club he loves, he and his family, he certainly would not go to any other english club, and certainly not liverfools, they have a wage structure there, and the americans wont spend big, spurs will pay kane 150,000, to 200,000 a wk, they have to, you cant make the step up the ladder and stay there without spending, because all our rivals do, all our stars will be on massive hikes in pay soon, more money from new stadium, massive sky money, and more global coverage, we have always been trying to catch arsenal our rivals, and yet they always pipped us, and this is due to they get the top stars, because they pay huge wages compared to us, example sanchez, he would have been great at spurs, and we would have offered 100,000 a wk on our wage plan, then arsenal come in and say 200,000 a wk, and hes there, so yes arseholes have always been ahead of us, and money is the only reason for that, we have caught them on a wage structure, with kids, and experienced good pros, and a few stars, and when we match arseholes wages, we will surpass them, and the star players will most probably choose us over them, when they have to decide to play for either one of the top 2 london clubs, because there only 2 real big clubs in london where most foreigners want to play, and if someone thinks chelsea without abramovich cash thinks they could do whay they are doing now, buying big stars on huge wages, then you are deluded, i hate arsenal, but they are a real big club, like we are, but like i said before, when we match their wages, we will surpass them.

  3. We have a serious issue here; if buying Sissoko wasn’t bad enough, paying £30M for him is utter madness and paying him more than Kane is a joke and an insult to the other Spurs players and fans.I never thought that I would ever say this, but Levy has totally lost the plot and has gone right off the rails.Unbelievable and incomprehensible.
