It’ll be a tall task for any goalkeeper to dislodge Hugo Lloris at Tottenham for the foreseeable future. The Spurs skipper, one of world’s best goalkeepers, recently signed a new deal until 2022.

Michel Vorm seems relatively happy in reserve, but at 33 he might be looking to play out his final footballing years elsewhere.

That would mean Tottenham need a new No. 2, and they might have already found one in the shape of Pau Lopez.

The Spaniard, 18, joined Spurs on loan last summer from La Liga side Espanyol. And Spanish publication Sport are reporting a permanent deal is close, with Tottenham willing to pay €7 million for the player.

Lopez is yet to make an appearance for Spurs, but he was on the bench for the 0-0 draw with Sunderland last week.

Sport also suggest Vorm will leave the club, meaning Lopez should get far more game time next season if he is to join permanently.
