It looks like Tottenham have missed out on two of their summer transfer targets as other top European clubs appear to have swooped.
Borussia Dortmund have confirmed the signing of 23-year-old attacking midfielder Maximilian Philipp from Freiberg for around €20 million.
Spurs had been linked with a move for Philipp, but the Germany u21s international was never believed to be one of Mauricio Pochettino’s primary targets.
Another player rumoured to be on Tottenham’s summer shortlist, Sampdoria striker Patrick Schick, is reportedly set to join Serie A champions Juventus.
