Tottenham have decided not to sign Argentine defender Juan Foyth, according to multiple reports.
Sky Sports claims Mauricio Pochettino made the decision to pull out of the deal as Estudiantes are asking for too much for Foyth.
The 19-year-old was believed to be close to joining Spurs in an £8 million deal.
But David Hynter of The Guardian has suggested Estudiantes have “moved the goalposts” on the fee, which has now risen too high causing Tottenham to end their interest.
Spurs feel Estudiantes have moved the goalposts on Juan Foyth deal. Fee has risen too high. They won’t be signing the 19yo defender #thfc

Paris Saint-Germain, Inter Milan and Roma will now fight for the player’s signature. Below you can watch a video of Foyth’s individual highlights for Argentina Under-20s against England last month.
Cheapest club in this world.
I understand/appreciate DL’s stance on not paying obscene wages to mercenary’s but penny-pinching in scenarios like above is what will end up costing us massively in the end!
