Tottenham are close to signing German full-back Jeremy Toljan, according to reports in Portugal.
The 22-year-old is primarily a right-back but can also play on the left. He would be expected to fight Kieran Trippier for his place in the team while providing additional cover for Danny Rose and Ben Davies.
Toljan has made 54 appearances for Bundesliga side Hoffenheim since joining from Stuttgart in 2013.
Portuguese outlet Record claims Spurs are closing in on the defender after Benfica withdrew their interest.
Below you can watch Toljan score for Hoffenheim against Werder Bremen last season, overlapping from left-back and finishing cleverly.
