Jose Fonte has revealed Mauricio Pochettino would scrutinise every detail during his time as Southampton manager.
West Ham defender Fonte spent a number of years at Southampton including the entirety Pochettino’s reign.
Speaking MOTD2 Extra, the 33-year-old explained how his former manager would keep a close eye on every player at the club.
“Everywhere in the training ground there are cameras,” said Fonte.
“In the canteen? Everywhere. He is watching you everywhere, your body language, everything.
“He is meticulous, his attention to detail is second to none. He would watch everything you do.”
The centre-back went on to praise Pochettino’s man management skills.
“He would put an arm around you and make you feel special. It’s good.
“I remember Luke Shaw was like a son to him. Adam Lallana, Dejan Lovren and myself all had a great relationship with him. He was tough as well when he had to be.”
