Real Madrid will allow Gareth Bale to leave the club next summer, according to reports in Spain.

Spanish outlet Diario Gol (via The Mirror) claims the former Tottenham attacker has few friends in Madrid and the champions of Europe are prepared to sell him at the end of the season.

Manchester United are often linked with Bale, but reports earlier this month suggested the Welshman would prefer a return to Spurs.

However, I’m not sure how reliable those reports are. Tottenham would have to completely change their wage structure to re-sign Bale.

It will be interesting to see where he ends up if he does leave Madrid.
