Mauricio Pochettino has suggested Gareth Bale isn’t a Tottenham target despite reports in Spain linking the Welshman with a sensational return.

Bale has struggled with injuries this season and Real Madrid are reportedly willing to let him leave this summer.

But Pochettino has dismissed speculation about a deal, telling Spanish TV show El Chiringuito de Jugones: “I don’t think [Bale] is a realistic option for Tottenham.” (Quotes via ESPN.)

The Spurs boss was then asked if he sees himself managing Real Madrid in the future.

“The truth is no,” he said. “Any other manager today of this level could be asked the same question, whether Pochettino wants to coach Real Madrid. [They might say] he talks well of Madrid as he wants to go to Madrid someday, but the truth is I do not think that way.”

Pochettino also spoke about Harry Kane’s future amid reports linking him with a move to Madrid. You can read his comments here.
