Schalke 04 are not interested in signing Tottenham defender Danny Rose on loan before the end of the month, according to Sky Sports.

Spurs are believed to be listening to offers for Rose, Toby Aldewerweireld and Mousa Dembele before the European transfer window closes on August 31st.

All three players failed to secure moves to English clubs before the Premier League’s August 9th deadline, so now their only option is to move abroad or wait until January for an exit.

Rose has been linked with a move away from Tottenham ever since he gave a controversial interview in which he criticised the club’s wage structure and ambition in the transfer market in August last year.

Manchester United and Everton have been mooted as potential destinations, but neither club made a move for the left-back this summer.

Bundesliga side Schalke are the latest club to be linked with a loan move for Rose, but Sky Sports claims the Germans are no longer interested in bringing in the 28-year-old this month.

Rose didn’t make Spurs’ squad for Saturday’s 2-1 win at Newcastle United. Whether he will feature against Fulham at Wembley this weekend remains to be seen.
