Tottenham are interested in signing PSV Eindhoven duo Jorrit Hendrix and Steven Bergwijn, according to TEAMtalk.

Hendrix, 23, plays in central midfield while Bergwijn, 20, is a winger, and both played key roles in PSV’s Eredivisie title-winning season last term.

As a result, TEAMtalk claims Spurs are among the clubs interested in the pair, who could cost a combined fee of £100 million.

It’s unclear whether Tottenham are considering a move for either player in January – the Londoners are set to play against PSV twice before the turn of the year in the Champions League group stages.

Bergwijn would certainly be one for the future given his age and the fact Spurs already have plenty of options in his position.

Hendrix, on the other hand, could function as a readymade replacement for Mousa Dembele, who has entered the final 12 months of his contract and continues to be linked with a move to China.

TEAMtalk’s report is an exclusive, so it will be interesting to see if any other major outlets pick up on the story in the near future.

Until then, file this one under speculation.
