Tottenham are considering a move for Burnley goalkeeper Nick Pope, according to the Mirror.
Hugo Lloris has come under fire this week following the latest in a long line of recent mistakes, in this case a red card against PSV Eindhoven in the Champions League.
As a result, the media has tipped Spurs to move for a new goalkeeper in the coming months.
And according to the Mirror, Tottenham are big fans of Pope, who was excellent for Burnley last term but is yet to play this season because of injury.
The 26-year-old was included in England’s World Cup squad ahead of Burnley’s current first-choice goalkeeper Joe Hart.
Spurs are said to be monitoring the Clarets’ goalkeeping situation. Tom Heaton will also expecting game time soon, so Burnley may be forced to sell one of their stoppers.
Michel Vorm’s contract expires at the end of the season, so Tottenham may need a new second-choice goalkeeper regardless of Lloris’ future – unless Paulo Gazzaniga is trusted to make the step up.
