Real Betis have made an approach for Tottenham outcast Vincent Janssen, according to Sky Sports.

Janssen hasn’t played a single minute of first-team football for Spurs this season and Mauricio Pochettino has confirmed the striker is not in his plans.

After arriving from Alkmaar in the summer of 2016, Janssen scored just six goals in his debut season at Tottenham, including four penalties.

He spent last season on loan at Fenerbahce and a permanent deal was mooted in the previous summer transfer window.

However, a foot injury prevented Janssen from leaving Spurs. He recently returned to fitness and has been playing for the Under-23s.

But it now looks as if the Dutchman could finally seal a permanent move away from north London.

Sky Sports claims Real Betis have made an approach for Janssen, who could leave Tottenham before Thursday’s deadline.

Spurs are unlikely to sign a replacement. Fernando Llorente appears to be set to stay until his contract expires at the end of the season.

In fact, it doesn’t look like Tottenham will sign any players at all in the current transfer window with time running out.
