Arsenal have entered the race to sign reported Tottenham target Adrien Rabiot this summer, according to the Mirror.

Spurs have been heavily linked with Rabiot in recent months after the PSG midfielder failed to agree terms on a new contract with the French champions.

Barcelona were thought to be favourites to sign Rabiot on a free transfer at the end of the season, but the La Liga giants have now agreed a deal to sign Ajax midfielder Frenkie de Jong.

That could mean Barcelona are no longer interested in Rabiot, which has apparently put a number of other clubs on high alert.

The Mirror claims Arsenal manager Unai Emery, who managed Rabiot at PSG, believes his ties with the player give the Gunners an advantage over Tottenham and Liverpool.

Notably, the report stresses Spurs remain keen on the 23-year-old, although there have been suggestions Rabiot sees the Londoners as below his level.

If Mauricio Pochettino’s side qualify for the Champions League, they will surely have a better chance of luring Rabiot than Arsenal – it could be an interesting summer.
