Inter Milan have joined the race to sign Tottenham Hotspur star Christian Eriksen, according to reports in Italy.

Eriksen is out of contract at the end of next season and has been heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid.

Juventus has also been mooted as a possible destination, and now it is believed there is interest from another Serie A club.

Italian outlet Gazzetta dello Sport (via the Daily Mail) claims Inter sent a scout to watch Eriksen during Spurs’ 1-0 win over Manchester City in the Champions League on Tuesday night.

Eriksen set up Son Heung-min’s winning goal with a clever ball over the top to the South Korean, who did the rest.

Inter are said to be keen on improving their attack this summer view a view to closing the huge gap on Serie A leaders Juventus.

Adding Eriksen to their ranks would be a huge statement of intent, but there will be questions marks over whether the Dane would want to join Inter ahead of other European giants.

And of course, there is still a possibility he will extend his deal with Tottenham.
