Tottenham Hotspur continue to be linked with a move for Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Adrien Rabiot by reports in Italy.

Rabiot has been exiled at PSG this season after failing to agree terms on a new deal with the Ligue 1 champions. He has made just 20 appearances across all competitions this term.

The 24-year-old is out of contract at the end of the current campaign and was heavily linked with Spurs both last summer and in the recent January transfer window.

Reports at the time suggested Rabiot saw Tottenham as below his level. The Frenchman was apparently holding out for a move to Barcelona.

But when Barcelona agreed a deal to sign Ajax starlet Frenkie de Jong, Rabiot’s future was thrown up in the air.

And now, Italian outlet Calcio Mercato claims Spurs and Serie A giants Juventus are set to battle it out over Rabiot’s signature.

Tottenham are in desperate need of a new central midfield after Mousa Dembele left the club for China in January. The Londoners opted against bringing a replacement at the time.

Rabiot would be an ideal signing, but his salary demands could prevent Spurs from getting a deal done.
