Tottenham are readying an £80 million move for Bournemouth duo David Brooks and Callum Wilson, according to the Sun.

Spurs are expected to spend money this summer having failed to make a single signing since Lucas Moura’s arrival in January 2018.

The Sun claims Tottenham want to bring Brooks and Wilson to north London for next season – it is believed Spurs value the players at around £40 million each.

Wilson scored 14 goals and provided 10 assists in 30 Premier League appearances in 2018/19, becoming England’s second-choice striker behind Harry Kane in the process.

Fernando Llorente is expected to leave Tottenham when his contract expires next month, so a replacement will be needed.

Wilson would be an ideal back-up player for Kane, but he may prefer to move elsewhere if he doesn’t fancy playing second fiddle to Spurs’ talisman for country and club.

Brooks joined Bournemouth from Sheffield United last summer and has enjoyed an impressive debut season in the Premier League.

The 21-year-old attacking midfielder scored seven goals and provided five assists in 30 top-flight appearances – he’d be a useful addition to Tottenham’s squad.
