Tottenham are reportedly close to agreeing a deal to sign Fulham’s Ryan Sessegnon, according to Express.

The 19-year-old has been a long-term target for Mauricio Pochettino and his move to North London has progressed in recent days after Danny Rose was told he can look for a new club after the Spurs defender didn’t travel with the rest of the squad for their pre-season tour of Asia on Wednesday and Tottenham are looking for a direct replacement for Rose.

Sessegnon, who scored two goals and added six assists in his debut season in the Premier League, in which he made 35 appearances for the Whites, would become Spurs’ third signing of the window and is set to cost around £25m, which would make the teenager their eighth most expensive signing in their history.

And according to reports, the winger, who can also play left-back – a position he started his career at in West London – could complete his move as early as next week.
