Real Betis midfielder Giovani Lo Celso has dropped his biggest hint yet that he could join Tottenham this summer and become Mauricio Pochettino’s third signing of the window.
The Sun have reported that the 23-year-old, who only made his switch to the La Liga side permanent in April after triggering an ‘option to buy’ clause in his contract, is set to sign for Champions League finalists for £45m.
Lo Celso’s move to Spurs has become likelier after Betis completed the signing of attacking midfielder Nabil Fekir from Lyon for around €20.
And the Argentinian international, who featured in all six of La Albiceleste’s games at the Copa America this summer, sent Spurs fans into a frenzy after replying to a tweet in Spanish which translated to ‘This season will I have a new t-shirt design?’ followed by a wink face.
The tweet can be seen below.

Lo Celso was left out of the Betis squad for their pre-season tour of Mexico, but a deal for him to join Pochettino’s side is unlikely to be completed before Spurs return home from Asia and then the player himself finishes his three week break after the Copa America.
