Bournemouth have registered their interested in Tottenham midfielder Victor Wanyama, according to the Daily Mail.

The 28-year-old, who is currently on an extended break after his participation in the 2019 African Cup of Nations, is likely to leave this summer after the signing of Tanguy Ndombele pushed him further down the pecking order.

With Harry Winks, Eric Dier and Moussa Sissoko also in a talented Spurs midfield, plus the developing Oliver Skipp, Wanyama’s opportunities looked extremely limited next season and Spurs are likely to sell at the right price.

Wanyama joined Tottenham from Southampton in the summer of 2016 and proved to be an instant hit at White Hart Lane, starting 35 league games in his first season as Spurs finished 2nd, their highest Premier League finish in the competitions history.

But a number of injuries, plus a loss of form, have seen him come a bit-part player over the past two campaigns, and he now looks set to leave North London side before Thursday’s deadline, with the Cherries keen for his signature.
