Tottenham starlet Troy Parrott is attracting interest from some of Europe’s biggest clubs, according to reports in Italy.

Parrott made his debut for the Republic of Ireland’s Under-21 side during the international break, scoring three goals in two games after making the step up from Under-19 level. The 17-year-old is seen as one of his country’s brightest young talents, drawing obvious comparisons with former Spurs striker Robbie Keane.

And Italian outlet Calcio Mercato claims Parrott could follow Keane’s path by joining Inter Milan, who are said to be interested in signing the teenager. Parrott has also apparently been watched by Juventus, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich.

Parrott played against all of those sides during Spurs’ pre-season campaign, during which he is thought to have impressed Mauricio Pochettino. Calcio Mercato believes the Tottenham boss could hand Parrott his first-team debut against Colchester United in the Carabao Cup later this month.

Spurs will be eager to hold on to Parrott given his talent and ability. What’s more, Fernando Llorente’s exit means Parrott is the only traditional centre-forward at the club who can realistically provide back-up for Harry Kane.
