Tottenham are set to recall Jack Clarke from Leeds United in January, according to The Sun.

The 18-year-old, who joined Spurs in a £10m deal in the summer, has struggled for minutes since returning to Elland Road on loan, and has made just two appearances for the Whites this term – both of which came in the Carabao Cup against Salford City and Stoke City respectively.

Despite his lack of opportunities, Clarke was called into the England Under-20 squad and after making his debut against Holland on 5 September, scored the a late winner against Switzerland four days later to earn the young Three Lions a 1-0 victory in Basel.

Leeds boss Marcelo Bielsa admitted that he’s satisfied with Clarke’s development despite not using him in the Championship this term and has left him out of five consecutive matchday squads since the draw with Nottingham Forest back in August.

And now, The Sun are reporting that Spurs will recall the the teenager, who has a clause in his contract which allows him to return to his parent club once the transfer window reopens on 1 January.

  1. Bolster our squad with an 18 year old championship winger, when we already have Moura, Son and Lamela. We need a Right Back for god sake and a second striker. We can’t keep playing Kane for 90 minutes. All the top teams sub their strikers (Aguero, Salah et) but we don’t. Kane gets burnt out so buy Dybala or Werner … or give Parrott a shot. I’d rather him than Clarke!
