Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich are the latest in a long time of European powerhouses to be interested in signing Tottenham’s teenage sensation Troy Parrott, according to the Daily Mail.

The 17-year-old, who made his senior Republic of Ireland debut against New Zealand last Thursday, is one of Spurs’ most promising talents and has been linked with the likes of Juventus since bursting onto the scene in north London after a host of eye-catching performances for Tottenham’s junior sides over the previous 12 months.

Parrott has been in excellent form for both club and country this season and added to his ever-growing tally for Ireland’s U21s against Sweden on Tuesday in their 4-1 victory.

The striker, whose current Spurs deal expires in 2021, has featured just one for the first-team so far this season and it’s unclear whether he’ll want to renew that contract after the departure of Mauricio Pochettino, who put plenty of faith into the teenager – including putting him on the bench for 1-1 draw at Everton earlier this month.

Munich are closely monitoring the situation and the Daily Mail are reporting that the mangerless side are preparing to make a bid for Parrott, who will be hoping to catch the eye of new manager Jose Mourinho, although doesn’t have a great track record of bringing through youngsters.
