Tottenham defender Cameron Carter-Vickers has joined Championship strugglers Luton Town on loan for the rest of the season.
The 22-year-old centre-back, who hasn’t featured for Spurs’ senior side since an FA Cup 4th Round match against Wycombe Wanderers back in January 2017, spent the first half of the campaign on loan at Stoke City, where he made 12 appearances before he was recalled.
Since returning to Spurs, the American international has been linked by a host of second-tier sides, but the Hatters, who currently sit bottom of the table, have won the race for his signature.
Carter-Vickers has played just four times for Tottenham in total since making his debut in an EFL Cup tie under Mauricio Pochettino in 2016 and will continue his development at Kenilworth Road, in what will be his fifth loan deal in the space of three seasons.
He will be available for Luton’s Championship game at highflyers West Brom on Saturday.
