Juventus see Tottenham star Harry Kane as the ideal replacement for Gonzalo Higuain, according to reports in Italy.

Kane, who has been sidelined with a hamstring injury since the turn of the year, has been linked with Manchester United in recent weeks. The striker should be fit to play if and when the season recommences.

Italian outlet Corriere dello Sport (as relayed by Football Italia), claims Manchester United could face competition from Juventus for Kane’s signature. The Italian giants apparently want to sell Higuain, who is out of contract at the end of next season.

Kane is contracted until the summer of 2024, so Spurs fans will be hoping the club demands an unrealistic fee if his suitors make moves this summer.

If Tottenham don’t finish in the top four, there will be obvious concerns about Kane’s happiness in north London. Juventus have no trouble qualifying for the Champions League year in, year out, and so a move to Turin might be tempting for the England captain.
