Tottenham have been offered the chance to sign former Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey – less than 12 months after the Welshman switched the Premier League for Serie A.
Ramsey, who left the Gunners to join Juventus on a free transfer last summer, has played just 24 times under Maurizio Sarri – scoring four times – and has struggled for a regular starting place since he arrived in Italy.
And with the Coronavirus pandemic causing clubs major financial problems, the Italian league leaders are looking to offload the 29-year-old, who was left out of the squad for their Coppa Italia semi-final victory over AC Milan on Friday, to ease some of their difficulties.
A report from The Sun suggests that Tottenham are plotting a loan move for the ex-Arsenal man, who is currently on £400,000 per-week, although his enormous wages could prove to be a stumbling block – with Ramsey earning double the amount that Harry Kane does, who is currently Spurs’ highest paid player.
Manchester United and City are both also interested in Ramsey – with indications that Juventus would be keen on paying half of the Welsh international’s hefty wages.

Ramsey is a strange player. Hes a very good player who will score goals but doesnt really fit any role particularly well. He was tried at defensive midfield and didnt shine, he was tried as a box to box but was too weak defensively to really be any good there. He was tried at no 10 and again, got goals but nothing exceptional.
When I look at our squad, we badly need an eriksen type creative mid and a steely wanyama style defensive mid. We have Lo Celso, NDombele, Dele, Son, Kane and Lamela are all top drawer players, but our team has been off balance since we stopped having decent defensive mids available and worsened greatly when Dembele left. Ndombele needs to work on the defnsive side of his game, aswell as fitness and ground covering in matches, but we need an enforcer next to him because NDombele can be lethal in attack if he has the protection to move. Lo Celso can also be lethal but he will be better with an eriksen type, aswell as the fact we need a Creative back up to lo celso as he will pick up kocks and injuries.
For me personally, ramsey, although a good player is a massive mismatch in terms of what we need, as he has been much of his career (individually too good to drop but not exceptional in any position in what is a team game).
