Tottenham are willing to let Danny Rose leave the club this summer so that he can break back into the England set-up, according to the Telegraph.

Rose’s long-term future has been uncertain since Jose Mourinho sanctioned a loan move to Newcastle United for the defender back in January, preferring Ben Davies and Ryan Sessegnon at left-back for the second half of the season.

Now back at Spurs, Rose is yet to feature in pre-season and looks to be on his way out again – perhaps permanently this time.

The Telegraph claims Tottenham will allow the 30-year-old to leave in the current transfer window, thus giving him a chance to win back his international place.

Rose has not been involved in recent squads, including the group that will face Iceland and Denmark in the UEFA Nations League in the coming days.

In truth it will be difficult for Rose to break back in to the Three Lions picture with Ben Chilwell, now a Chelsea player, seemingly holding down the left-back role.

That said, Rose could revive his club career if he makes the right move away from Spurs, potentially boosting his England chances in the process.

  1. To be honest Danny Rose is better full back player than Ben Davies Danny can play forward and attack
Ben plays just pass back to central Defenders as last 3 matches he passed the ball back to Defenders 82% and pass to midfielder 16% and attack only2%
If I was assistant to Jose I would have told him to sell Ben Davies and keep Danny

  2. disagree!!!!
rose doesn’t have the right attitude now,
and with aurier or doherty both attacking full backs, it only makes sense to put a person whose best position is the left of a back three, better defending then rose, rose is just quicker and maybe a better tackler where as davies puts on more like a cbs defending, not only tackling
