Tottenham are interested in signing Torino striker Andrea Belotti amid uncertainty about his future, according to reports in Italy.

Belotti, who has scored 11 goals in 20 Serie A appearances so far this season, has been with Torino since 2015, finding the net 103 times in 213 games across all competitions in that time.

However, with his contract set to expire at the end of next season, the 27-year-old’s  future is said to be in doubt.

Italian outlet La Stampa (as relayed by TuttoMercatoWeb) claims Belotti is only focussed on the present, leading to doubts over whether he will commit his long-term future to Torino.

Belotti’s situation is apparently attracting interesting from elsewhere in Europe, and Spurs are said to be keen on the 31-time Italy international ‘above all’ – which suggests the Londoners are leading the race for his signature.

Carlos Vinicius was brought in to provide back-up for Harry Kane last summer but things haven’t really worked out. He has looked capable in the Europa League but is rarely used in the Premier League, a competition in which he is yet to score.

That’s why Belotti could be a better option. He has scored plenty of goals in one of Europe’s major leagues and could even play alongside Kane and Son Heung-min in Tottenham’s front line.

  1. I watch Andrea Belotti ever week, and he can do ever think with a football he’s a goal scorer and a goal poacher and a born leader, spurs want to go out and make every effort to sign him.
