Tottenham are interested in signing Barcelona midfielder Miralem Pjanic on loan, according to reports in Spain.
Pjanic joined Barcelona from Juventus a year ago but is already seeking an exit from La Liga.
And Spanish outlet Sport claims he is likely to move ‘either back to Italy or to Premier League club Tottenham’ on loan this summer.
Spurs have apparently enquired about taking the Bosnia and Herzegovina international for a season, while Inter and AC Milan are also said to be interested – though it is believed Pjanic would rather re-join Juventus.
The report suggests Pjanic knows Fabio Paratici well from Juventus, so those ties to Tottenham’s new director of football could help the Londoners get a deal over the line.
Pjanic is a fine passer of the ball and a useful set-piece taker, something Spurs could do with.
If Nuno Espirito Santo plays a 3-4-3, like he did during his initially successful years with Wolves, Pjanic would be an ideal partner for Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg in central midfield.
Tanguy Ndombele and Oliver Skipp will also provide competition for those places.
We need creativity in the final 3rd and although pjnanic drifted more into central midfield over his time at juve (more so when dybala arrived) he was once a player we looked at before going for eriksen.
Personally I think Matheus Pereira and Daichi kamada should be who we go for as the prem requires creativity inthe final 3rd and trying to create from deep midfield with no iq in thefinal 3rd is what was joses undoing, at spurs and man u.
