There’s no denying Tottenham have been one of the best teams to watch in the country over the last two seasons.
Successive title challenges have boosted Mauricio Pochettino’s reputation — he’s now considered one of the world’s most promising coaches — and the likes of Dele Alli and Harry Kane have gone from young hopefuls to world-class stars.
But regardless of Spurs’ improvement as a club since Pochettino’s arrival, they have very little to show for their progress.
Tottenham have fallen at the final hurdle in each of the last two Premier League campaigns, seeing the title slip away to Leicester City and Chelsea respectively.
What makes those failings all the more painful is the fact that, statistically, Spurs have been far and away the best side in England over a two-year period. Unfortunately, one team has been better in each of those seasons.
Opta have published some stats that show just how good, and unlucky, Tottenham have been of late. Over the last two Premier League campaigns, they’ve racked up the most most points, scored the most goals and conceded the fewest.
156 – Tottenham Hotspur have won more points than any other team in the last two seasons of the Premier League. Spurred.

The only stat that matters is final place in the table/
Hang that report in the trophy cabinet!!
Come on you Spurs
No new players team not good enough over last two years other teams have signed new players will find it hard to finish in top four this year and a quick exit from champions league we need to add to squad soon or a poor season looms
We must translate it now to winning trophies and titles… COYS !
