After stating that he didn’t expect any transfer activity at White Hart Lane this month, Spurs manager Harry Redknapp has indicated that he would welcome a couple of new faces in order to drive on the club’s attempts to cement a top four position at the very least.

Speaking in The Sun, Harry said that anyone coming in would have to be better than the current players in the squad and he believes that they will be hard to find.

“If you’d told me six months ago that my Spurs side would be right in the mix for the title, I’d have laughed,” Redknapp said.

“And if we could find a couple of new faces to improve us even further over the next month, then who knows where this season could take us?

“The problem we have now when we look for players is that the better you get, the more difficult it is to find someone who will take you even higher.

“Believe me, there aren’t that many out there – but we won’t fall down on that score through a lack of looking.”

Milos Krasic has been mentioned briefly before but his agent has claimed this week that Spurs are among a host of teams who are interested in the Juventus midfielder.

“There are clubs interested him in – like Chelsea, Inter Milan and now Tottenham and Fenerbahce,” said Dejan Joksimovic.

“There are also three Russian clubs in the running that I cannot name.”

As a right sided winger you could argue that Krasic is better than what we already have but will a firm bid follow?

  1. Firstly, if this story has any truth in it whats so ever, the players agent would’nt mention Spurs for fear of jeopardizing any possible deal, the same way that he refuses to name the three Russian clubs supposedly interested in this player.
Secondly, are you suggesting that Krasic is a better player than Aaron Lennon on the right hand side of our team? Is he the special player that Harry Redknapp says we need or perhaps just plain newspaper bullshit as per usual which is more likely the case.
